Ask HN: I just want to build the future of software dev and AI. How?
Programming is my first love. I've been getting paid for coding since I was 14.
I've been so excited since Cursor launched, there's so much that's going to happen that will change the software dev industry completely. And I want to be building that, because we only get one life and I want to dedicate mine to my first love.
I built a product to solve cursor hallucinations and it's just moving sideways. Maybe I didn't hit on a strong enough pain point and that's okay, I know how to learn from my failures and pivot.
I recently sold all my belongings and moved to SF. It's so difficult without a network. How can I get in touch with startups and companies to understand their pain points around AI and software dev and help them code faster?
I've been reading HN since I was a kid and your advice is the most valuable to me.
Interview, fail at interviews, learn from there where you need to improve, repeat until hired. Once hired, level up. There is no speed limit (https://sive.rs/kimo). Your experience at a YC startup as an early engineer would potentially provide you with the expertise and network to eventually move to another org or become a founder yourself (bootstrap or VC funding, depending on your objectives).

Wishing you the best of luck.
